MICROMINE Brazilian Reseller Named Top Performer in Mineral Engineering & Tech

MICROMINE’s Brazilian partner, BNA Consultoria e Sistemas Ltda (BNA), has received top recognition from Brazilian mining industry peers for the organisation’s approach to mineral engineering and technology.

BNA Principal Consultant, Dr Beck Nader was awarded the Personality of the Year Award in the category Mineral Engineering and Technology – presented at the Brazil Mineral Forum in São Paulo on Wednesday, 27 November 2019.

This follows BNA receiving the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Minas Gerais-Brazil’s (IFMG) highest honour – the Medalha de Mérito Padre José Mendes Barros (The Medal of Merit) – in May for services to the school in supporting students’ intensive use of the Micromine solution; as well as the 12th Top Engineering Award from the Alumnus Association of the Engineering School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais in September.

MICROMINE Global Marketing Manager, Kate Gilbey says, “Congratulations to Dr Beck Nader and the team at BNA. We are proud to be partnered with such a driven and hard-working team to deliver high-tech geological engineering applications to the Latin American exploration and mineral sector.”

Promoted by Brasil Mineral magazine, The Personalities of the Year Award in the Mineral Sector calls on the Brazilian mineral community to nominate individuals they believe have stood out for their performance in the Brazilian mining context. Members of the Brasil Mineral magazine Advisory Board then decide on the winners by means of a vote.

Dr Beck Nader says, “Mining is an important sector of the Brazilian economy, accounting for 4.2 percent of the Brazilian GDP and we are proud to be able to contribute positively through the work we do at BNA.”

“Being nominated by the Editorial Board of Brasil Mineral magazine for the Mineral Sector Personality of the Year award in the Mineral Engineering and Technology category this year 2019 was a pleasant and unexpected surprise for me, and I am very humbled. Being elected by the direct vote of the readers of that prestigious magazine, among colleagues of such great competence and respectability, was really a very important point for my career and provides me with more motivation for me to continue to work harder, to assist in the development and good engineering and high technology to the Brazilian mineral sector.”
